What I Wore To London Fashion Week AW17

img_2584 img_7114

Today is the final day of London Fashion Week AW17, this weekend I was lucky enough to attend LFW for the first two days, as a Christmas present from my girlfriend. I had a great time capturing street style images outside of 180 The Strand (Home of LFW) and an amazing evening watching the Joshua Kane AW17 Show held at the London Palladium.

I love seeing what my favourite style influencers, bloggers and celebrities wear to Fashion Week so I thought that I would share my own outfits from the two days I was there. I kept to my personal casual streetwear style, and was really pleased with my looks.

Last Wednesday, I was lucky enough to attend the launch event for the new Porsche 911, at the Porsche Centre, Leicester. The event consisted of lots of champagne, gorgeous canapés, which included Lobster Cocktail and Strawberry & Chocolate Meringues. The new 911 is absolutely stunning, both inside and out and it is finished to the highest standard. One of my favourite features is the Apple CarPlay feature, which replicates your iPhone screen on the Porsche’s touch display; I can’t wait to see this feature come into more cars.  The Panamera has always been my favourite Porsche, but after seeing the new 911 I can see myself loving it, a lot.

Since we’re well and truly into Winter now I went for a pretty Wintery outfit. I picked out a grey turtle neck for the event, as I was keen to try one after loving how they looked on others but not being sure how I’d feel about them on myself. But I loved it, it looks clean and smart without being too excessive. I paired this with black skinny jeans and a black wool overcoat. Finally, I put on some brown Chelsea boots, which I think finished off the look really well, keeping it smart and stylish.  On my wrists, I wore my Apple Watch with the Chronograph face, and silver engraved cuff. On the other wrist, my silver and brown leather bracelet that Eleanor bought me for our Anniversary.  I used Versace’s Eros aftershave on the night, I think it’s much more of a night time scent than a day time one, so it suited the occasion perfectly.

Effortless Street Style

Tommy Hilfiger Bobby Jacket / Primark Black T-Shirt (Similar)/ River Island Black Sid Jeans (Custom Rips) / White Converse Sawyer Sneakers

Casual streetwear is my favourite style to wear. This look is effortless yet stylish and works well as a day to day look. I went with a pretty much all black look, which allows the shoes and jacket to stand out. Also, I find that all black looks are easy to put together but work incredibly well to create a stylish outfit.

My jacket is from Tommy Hilfiger and was a steal, it’s a lightweight waterproof jacket which I bought in the sale for a fraction of it’s original price. It fits perfectly and has a bold colour, allowing it to stand out from any outfit, and making it an essential streetwear piece.

My jeans are custom ripped, by myself. I chose to rip the jeans myself because I felt I could get a more custom look, rather than just having simple rips on each knee.

The shoes I’m wearing are a pair I picked up at the beginning of summer and I am trying to get my wear out of them before the weather starts to turn. I love how the bright white leather stands out from my all black look and they’re definitely one of my favourite pairs of casual shoes.

Casual, monochrome summer look

Monochrome looks have become very popular recently and I am a huge fan, so I thought it only right to share a monochrome look that I’ve loved this summer.
My t-shirt is from Topman and it features small black palm trees all over, with big block words reading “South Cali.” – I love the print and feel it just has a really summery feel to it. The sleeves are pre-rolled up, which just makes life so much easier, there’s no worry that they’re not the same length or that they’re falling down.

If it’s not clear already, I really like these black super skinny shorts, I have worn others though don’t worry, but for this monochrome look it was only right to pair the t-shirt with these!

Finally, my shoes. These are Converse “Sawyer” Style low-tops in white leather, and I bloody love them. At first I was petrified to remove them from the box, in fear that I’d spill something all over them, but they’ve stayed pretty clean *takes sigh of relief*. They’re a very minimal style converse, which is really why I love them and I’ve not seen them around before which is an extra bonus!

Hats & Hawaiian Prints – Smart Summer Look 2

River Island Hat / River Island Hawaiian Shirt / Topman Super Skinny Shorts / River Island Brogues / Storm Sunglasses

In my last post I shared a smart summer outfit, today’s post is a bit of a part 2. This look is a little more adventurous, due to the Hawaiian prints but if you’re willing to give it a go, I think it can definitely work.

Once again, I went with simple, black super skinny shorts; they work well with everything and I really like the skinny fit. Also, I chose to wear my brown brogues, as I said in my last post they’re smart but still have a modern, clean look!

I’ve often been scared to try more daring prints, which is why I went with this Hawaiian shirt. It incorporates the bold patterns, but uses more modest, neutral colours.

The final thing I added to this outfit was my hat, I’ve seen a lot of people wearing hats at the  moment and really wanted to get one myself. After a while trying on different styles and colours I eventually settled for this brown coloured Fedora hat. I really like how it looks with this outfit; I think it is just a subtle but stylish add-on.

New Look Striped Shirt / Topman Black Super Skinny Shorts / River Island Brogues / Storm Sunglasses

I’m currently in Lanzarote, soaking up the sun with my gorgeous girlfriend. A couple of nights ago we went out for a meal, so I thought I would do a little outfit post showing what I wore.

It’s super hot here so I went for a simple and light outfit that wouldn’t leave me like a blob on the floor. However, although I wanted to keep cool, I also wanted to look smart; I opted for a short sleeve, mint green and white striped cotton shirt and some black super skinny shorts. I kept a few buttons open at the top of the shirt to avoid being too hot. To keep up with the smart look I paired my outfit with some tan coloured brogues that have white soles; I really like these shoes and think they look smart but still keep up with a modern, clean look.
