48 Hours at London Fashion Week

If you read last weeks blog post or follow me on Instagram (@_adamkay_) then you’ll know that earlier this month I was lucky enough to attend London Fashion Week, thanks to my wonderful girlfriend who booked it for us as part of my Christmas present.

I was also extremely lucky to receive tickets for the AW17 Joshua Kane show, held at The London Palladium, and renowned in the press recently as LFW’s biggest show yet! Fashion Week was an amazing experience, for me as a photographer – I was able to photograph a tonne of street style (Available to view on my blog next week!) and as a fashion lover I was able to be at the event and soak it all up but also, see my first fashion show – which was incredible.

You can see everything we got up to at LFW in my video below, I hope you enjoy it…

What I Wore To London Fashion Week AW17

Today is the final day of London Fashion Week AW17, this weekend I was lucky enough to attend LFW for the first two days, as a Christmas present from my girlfriend. I had a great time capturing street style images outside of 180 The Strand (Home of LFW) and an amazing evening watching the Joshua Kane AW17 Show held at the London Palladium.

I love seeing what my favourite style influencers, bloggers and celebrities wear to Fashion Week so I thought that I would share my own outfits from the two days I was there. I kept to my personal casual streetwear style, and was really pleased with my looks.

Winter Streetwear OOTD

OUTFIT:

Jacket – Ralph Lauren (Sold Out) / Hoodie – Pablo (Sold Out) / Jeans – Boohoo Men’s / Hat – Topman / Shoes – Adidas Stan Smith / Rucksack – Lacoste (Sold Out)

A/W Fashion is my favourite simply because you can wear more clothes, which means layers and in my opinion, much better outfits, in Summer you typically pair 2/3 items whereas in A/W you start pushing 5/6 pieces within one look, it also allows for the addition of coats and jackets, which are my ultimate weakness – I just can’t have enough.

Winter in England has been fairly mild this year, so this has been one of my go-to outfits, a few layers but still a fairly light jacket and on the colder days paired with a hat. The base of this look is a pair of washed black biker jeans – a favourite of mine because the texture helps create a more interesting look than basic black jeans. I then chose my black Pablo hoodie (with any top underneath, but if you’re looking to add even more layers I would suggest a striped or white longline t-shirt that drops just below the hoodie) – the base of this look is fairly simple but the addition of accessories like a hat and jacket bring it all together into a more solid look.

The jacket I put with this outfit is my favourite jacket from my collection… it’s a navy embroidered bomber jacket from Ralph Lauren and I adore it! I think it’s a perfect streetwear item, especially with embroidery being so popular at the moment with brands such as Gucci –  I am always wearing it so it was 100% a worthwhile purchase. Another accessory I added to this outfit was my fur beanie, the bright orange fur worked perfectly with the colours of the embroidery on the jacket and I love it’s addition to this look. To finish off the look I wore clean white Stan Smith trainers, simply because they’re super comfy and work perfectly with any casual look.

This outfit, as I said, is definitely one of my go-to winter looks, it’s got plenty of layer to keep you warm and also has a great sense of streetwear style, the puffy bomber jacket and hoodie creating the perfect streetwear silhouette.

Whytes – Perfect White T-Shirt

A white t-shirt should be a staple in anyone’s wardrobe, but, often they’re probably overlooked as a ‘fashionable’ piece of clothing. However, I have to disagree. A simple white t-shirt can be worn on its own or worn with other things to create a simple, effortless yet stylish look.

Like anything else in your wardrobe I’m sure you don’t want it to be uncomfortable or bad quality, which is why Whytes Co have created the ‘Perfect White T-Shirt’. They realised that there was no premium quality, slim fitting white t-shirts on the market for men that wouldn’t break the bank and since then have strived to create the perfect white t-shirt. Testing over 20 different fabrics and multiple different shapes until they found the perfect one.

If you’re thinking that this so-called ‘Perfect’ t-shirt can’t be perfect for everyone, then think again. Unlike other stores which offer around 5 basic sizes ( XS, S, M, L, XL) Whytes offer 10! They sell their t-shirts in sizes XS-XL but also in Long and Short versions, so if you’re a little bit taller or a little bit shorter these t-shirts will still give you a perfect fit.  On top of the huge range of sizes they also have V-Neck and Crew Neck styles to fit your needs even more.

I am thoroughly impressed with my Whytes T-shirt, it truly is super comfy, its soft fabric hugs your skin perfectly but not so much that it’s uncomfortable. As well as being impressed with the t-shirt itself, Whytes packaging is outstanding. Your t-shirt comes wrapped in tissue paper in a sturdy Whytes box. You really do get a luxury product when it comes to Whytes, but for a fraction of the price.

In this outfit, I paired my t-shirt with some River Island Black Jeans, Grey Nike Roshe Runs, a Grey Ralph Lauren hoodie and an Asos Leather Bomber jacket. I love this look, it’s super casual and a great everyday look.

If you enjoyed this post and are keen to know more about the perfect white t-shirt then go and check Whytes website: http://www.whytes.co/ and follow them on social media – @WhytesCo

This was a sponsored post. However ALL opinions mentioned were ENTIRELY my own. Thanks to Whytes Co  for sending me their t-shirt to review. If you have any PR enquiries please send them via my Contact page.

Having a great Winter coat in your wardrobe is essential! And, although it hasn’t been majorly cold this year, I’ve still used my coat loads to keep nice and warm.  My Winter coat is from Quba Sails, an English brand that you’ll mostly find by the sea. It is their X-10 Technical Jacket in the red, white and blue colour way.

For a while, I used to hate wearing a coat in Winter because I never truly liked the ones I had, they served the purpose of keeping me warm, but did not fit in with style or the look I wanted. But now, I look forward to the colder weather and being able to wear this awesome jacket.  I especially love this jacket because Quba make all of their technical jackets using Sailcloth, making them a bit unique, and something you don’t see often.

The jacket is majorly comfortable, it has a fleece inside to keep you nice and warm when you’re wearing it and a fold-in hood, just in case the heavens open. Another great feature is the amount of pockets! It has loads and it’s so useful to keep my keys, phone, wallet etc.  Although this jacket is on the more expensive side it is a definite worthwhile buy. They’re built to last a lifetime, with a lot of people still wearing them 10 years on, which is pretty good going.

Quba Sails offer a range of men’s and women’s technical jackets, as well as a huge range of clothes and lifestyle pieces, all of which are amazing quality. I actually have another jacket from them, the Classic Harrington Jacket, which you can see more of in this post.

Last Wednesday, I was lucky enough to attend the launch event for the new Porsche 911, at the Porsche Centre, Leicester. The event consisted of lots of champagne, gorgeous canapés, which included Lobster Cocktail and Strawberry & Chocolate Meringues. The new 911 is absolutely stunning, both inside and out and it is finished to the highest standard. One of my favourite features is the Apple CarPlay feature, which replicates your iPhone screen on the Porsche’s touch display; I can’t wait to see this feature come into more cars.  The Panamera has always been my favourite Porsche, but after seeing the new 911 I can see myself loving it, a lot.

Since we’re well and truly into Winter now I went for a pretty Wintery outfit. I picked out a grey turtle neck for the event, as I was keen to try one after loving how they looked on others but not being sure how I’d feel about them on myself. But I loved it, it looks clean and smart without being too excessive. I paired this with black skinny jeans and a black wool overcoat. Finally, I put on some brown Chelsea boots, which I think finished off the look really well, keeping it smart and stylish.  On my wrists, I wore my Apple Watch with the Chronograph face, and silver engraved cuff. On the other wrist, my silver and brown leather bracelet that Eleanor bought me for our Anniversary.  I used Versace’s Eros aftershave on the night, I think it’s much more of a night time scent than a day time one, so it suited the occasion perfectly.

College Look #1

Outfit: Penfield Sweatshirt (Similar) / River Island Jeans / Nike Trainers
Details: Boss Orange Watch / Engraved Cuff (Etsy) / Asos Backpack (Similar)

Since September, I have been attending college to do my A-Levels. It’s a big difference to secondary school but I’m enjoying it; one of the biggest differences is the fact that we don’t have a uniform, which I’m pretty happy about to be honest. But, now that I’ve been there a good few months it’s becoming a bit difficult to find new outfits for every day! So, I’ve put together a series of ‘College Looks’ to give anyone feeling the same a bit of inspiration. This is the first…

This look is a nice casual Autumn look. I absolutely love this Penfield sweatshirt, it’s super comfy and fits great. Sweatshirts are definitely my must have Autumn piece. I paired it with some standard black jeans and my grey, Nike Roshe Runs. I chose to style this look with trainers as I felt it gave it a super casual feel and also they’re such comfy shoes, especially when climbing 5 flights of stairs in college.

For the details, I chose a leather backpack from Asos, in a grey colour, I love it and think the colour contrasts nicely with the navy sweatshirts. On my wrist, I wore my Boss Orange watch and silver engraved cuff, I love how the silver case of the watch looks next to the silver cuff.
