A few weeks ago, over the Easter break, my family and I took a trip to Cornwall. We stayed the week in a stunning home in St. Ives, with incredible ocean views. The Instagram vibes were insane. I was in my element!

Whilst there, I made a short travel film to fuel your wanderlust and give you some good vibes. Enjoy…

48 Hours at London Fashion Week

If you read last weeks blog post or follow me on Instagram (@_adamkay_) then you’ll know that earlier this month I was lucky enough to attend London Fashion Week, thanks to my wonderful girlfriend who booked it for us as part of my Christmas present.

I was also extremely lucky to receive tickets for the AW17 Joshua Kane show, held at The London Palladium, and renowned in the press recently as LFW’s biggest show yet! Fashion Week was an amazing experience, for me as a photographer – I was able to photograph a tonne of street style (Available to view on my blog next week!) and as a fashion lover I was able to be at the event and soak it all up but also, see my first fashion show – which was incredible.

You can see everything we got up to at LFW in my video below, I hope you enjoy it…

Winter Streetwear OOTD

OUTFIT:

Jacket – Ralph Lauren (Sold Out) / Hoodie – Pablo (Sold Out) / Jeans – Boohoo Men’s / Hat – Topman / Shoes – Adidas Stan Smith / Rucksack – Lacoste (Sold Out)

A/W Fashion is my favourite simply because you can wear more clothes, which means layers and in my opinion, much better outfits, in Summer you typically pair 2/3 items whereas in A/W you start pushing 5/6 pieces within one look, it also allows for the addition of coats and jackets, which are my ultimate weakness – I just can’t have enough.

Winter in England has been fairly mild this year, so this has been one of my go-to outfits, a few layers but still a fairly light jacket and on the colder days paired with a hat. The base of this look is a pair of washed black biker jeans – a favourite of mine because the texture helps create a more interesting look than basic black jeans. I then chose my black Pablo hoodie (with any top underneath, but if you’re looking to add even more layers I would suggest a striped or white longline t-shirt that drops just below the hoodie) – the base of this look is fairly simple but the addition of accessories like a hat and jacket bring it all together into a more solid look.

The jacket I put with this outfit is my favourite jacket from my collection… it’s a navy embroidered bomber jacket from Ralph Lauren and I adore it! I think it’s a perfect streetwear item, especially with embroidery being so popular at the moment with brands such as Gucci –  I am always wearing it so it was 100% a worthwhile purchase. Another accessory I added to this outfit was my fur beanie, the bright orange fur worked perfectly with the colours of the embroidery on the jacket and I love it’s addition to this look. To finish off the look I wore clean white Stan Smith trainers, simply because they’re super comfy and work perfectly with any casual look.

This outfit, as I said, is definitely one of my go-to winter looks, it’s got plenty of layer to keep you warm and also has a great sense of streetwear style, the puffy bomber jacket and hoodie creating the perfect streetwear silhouette.

Adventures In Lanzarote

The Winter weather has well and truly hit the UK this week and I am definitely missing Summer! Since I wasn’t blogging most of this year, I didn’t get a chance to upload any content from my travels.
So, to keep the Summer spirits high I thought I’d share my video from my Adventures in Lanzarote this year.

Hopefully you’ll enjoy it and it’ll give you some good vibes and wanderlust ready for next year…

If you’re not already, be sure to Subscribe to my channel, I’m hoping to produce a lot more video content on createdbyadamkay.com in the future.

2015 Recap

Happy New Year!

This year has been absolutely amazing! I can safely say it has been one of the biggest and best years of my life, so far. I did so much. It was the year I took my GCSE’s, attended Prom, travelled to America for the first time, left school and moved to college, turned 16, had a summer holiday with my girlfriend, released a book I was part of, etc etc. Just so many amazing things, that I could never recap in words. So, here is my “2015 Recap” video…

Beach Day

During the October half term I took a trip down to Cornwall with my family, as I do most years. This year my girlfriend, Eleanor, and her family were holidaying in Cornwall too, they invited me to stay with them for a couple of days, and I had a lovely time. This is a short video I made of the day we spent flying kites and taking photos on the beach. Enjoy…

A Few Product Empties

If you’re somebody who reads a lot of blogs you may have seen this kind of post done before but if you’re not then I will explain… A product empties post is simply a blog post that features a number of products, be it skincare, aftershave etc, that have all ran out, but you know for sure you’d rush back to and pick them up again.

I love these kind of posts as you can get an idea of how good or bad a product is after someone has used it for a while, rather than when they’ve first bought it. So, I thought I would share with you a few of mine…

Aftershave –

I decided to feature 2 aftershaves that I have recently ran out of, the first is ‘Tommy’ by Tommy Hilfiger, this is a product I have mentioned before on my blog, and I decided to included it again because, well, I bought it again! I love the fresh scent that you get when wearing ‘Tommy’ and I feel it is a perfect everyday aftershave.

Secondly, is Abercrombie & Fitch’s ‘Fierce’ cologne, which I purchased whilst in America. This aftershave has a heavier scent than Tommy which is why I chose to mainly wear this when going out, as opposed to everyday use. It has a fairly intense masculine scent that really does last all day! I could not fault this aftershave for how long the scent lasts and it’s definitely one I’d get again!

Skincare –

First up, Kiehl’s Facial Fuel, Skin Buffer for men. This is a product that I have been using daily to wash my face for about 6 months now and when it ran out I went out and bought a new one straight away! This is honestly one of the best face washes I have used. It exfoliates well, cleans well and leaves you feeling really fresh faced, which is all you can ever want really. If you’re struggling to find an all round good face wash I’d definitely suggest Kiehl’s, they’re on the more expensive side but 100% worth it.

Next, Ursa Major’s ‘Fortifying Face Balm’.  For those who have been reading my blog a while then you may remember that I featured Ursa Major in a blog post a few months ago. They have a great range of all natural skincare, aimed at adventurers and travellers! Their moisturiser is awesome, I tend to find that a lot of moisturisers leave me feeling shiny and oily and this really puts me off using them, even though I really should. Which is why I love the Ursa Major face balm, it smells great and leaves my skin with a matte finish, which is great. Mine has just ran out and I will be ordering a new one soon, for sure!

The final product in the skincare sections is Clinique’s ‘Anti-Blemish Solution’. No matter what skincare routine I have I always seem to get the odd spot every now and then which is when I use this awesome product. Simply, it’s a spot zapper. But it is the best I’ve used. I can hands downs say that this product has removed some of my spots in a night, it works quickly and effectively and I don’t think I will ever not be re-buying this product.

Haircare –

In this section is Bumble & Bumble’s ‘Surf Spray’. My bottle of this spray has been empty, sadly, for about a month now because I haven’t had chance to grab a new bottle. But, I NEED TO. I have naturally curly hair anyway but I love to emphasise the curls and make them more structured using a salt spray and the bumble and bumble spray is by far the best I’ve ever used. It comes at a higher price than most but you’re paying for quality and you certainly get it with this product!
