Last weekend we celebrated my grandma’s 90th birthday at The Didsbury, which funnily enough is in Didsbury, Manchester. Originally we hadn’t planned to have the party here but our previous venue told us they’d double booked only 24 hours beforehand. So we spent the day hastily trying to find a new venue. This is when we came across The Didsbury, as a family we had eaten here before (I can say myself, the food is gorgeous) and remembered they had a function room upstairs, we immediately phoned and explained the situation and asked if the room would be available that night for us. It was! But they warned us that none of the tables had been set up, so after a good half an hour of phone calls telling everyone the new venue we headed over to set up. With only a few hours left we managed to get the room ready, with balloons, confetti and most importantly cake!
Once the party begun, it was great, everyone was happy, and we all had a great time. The room was absolutely fantastic, there was plenty of space. And the staff were amazing, they constantly offered assistance and were very helpful. They couldn’t of been better. What could of been a disaster was an absolutely great night thanks to The Didsbury. If you are ever in the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to go there, whether it be for a party, a nice meal or just a drink with some friends, this place is awesome!
